Installation
ℹ️ Before you begin
- Use an UNLOCKED device that supports eSIM.
- Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection during activation.
- Temporarily turn OFF all other eSIM data plans (if present).
- Update your device software to the latest version.
- Ensure the QR code is displayed on another device/screen (sent via email) or found in the rova app.
- Use the rova app for direct installation only on iPhones running iOS 17.4+.
- Rename the eSIM to “rova” in your device settings for easy identification.
- Install the eSIM at least 24 hours before your trip via a secure Wi-Fi network.
- If one activation method fails, try others (e.g., manual entry or app-based setup).

Open the rova app, and press install eSIM Now
- Use Quick installation if you have an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later installed.
- If you do not have the rova app already installed, you can check out and download from the AppsStore or Google Play
You can install rova travel eSIM quick installation from:
- Receipt confirmation page
- rova app's homescreen
- rova app’s “Manage eSIMs”

Install your eSIM
- You will be redirected to iPhone settings. Click Allow on the activation prompt and continue with activation. It might take a few minutes to activate your eSIM.

Complete installation
- Select your new eSIM and rename it. Then tap "Continue"
- Select your personal SIM as your Default line for calls and sms.
- Select your personal SIM for iMessages & FaceTime.
- Select your new eSIM as the source for "Mobile Data".
- Click "Update later" for the preferred line.

Confirm successful installation
- If eSIM is installed successfully, you will see it in your "SIMs" list in "Mobile Service" ("Mobile Data" for iOS 16 and earlier versions) with the line turned "On".

- To activate eSIM, you need to be in the destination country for which you purchased the data package

Enable Data Roaming
- Go to your iPhone’s Settings
- Tap on your newly added eSIM pack in the "Mobile Service" ("Mobile Data" for iOS 16 and earlier versions).
- And turn on "Data Roaming" with the help of the toggle.

Make sure eSIM is a preferred data plan
- Go back to "Mobile Service" and then go to "Mobile Data".
- Click on your newly installed eSIM pack to use it as a source of internet data.

Activation completed
- Your rova travel eSIM is now installed on your iOS device.
