How can I directly install and activate an eSIM on Apple devices?

Set up your rova travel eSIM directly on your iPhone by following these steps.

Before You Begin

Use an unlocked, eSIM compatible iPhone.
Connect to stable, secure Wi Fi.
Temporarily turn off other eSIM data packs, if any.
Update to the latest iOS version and keep your QR code ready from your email or the rova app.
Install your eSIM at least 24 hours before travelling.
If one method does not work, try an alternative installation method.

Direct Installation via App (iOS 17.4+)

Purchase an eSIM data pack and tap Install eSIM on this device
When redirected to iPhone Settings, tap Allow. Activation may take a few minutes.
When Cellular Setup Complete appears, tap Done
Name your new line, for example rova travel eSIM, then tap Continue
Select your Default Line for calls and messages
Select Primary to keep your number for iMessage and FaceTime
Set rova eSIM as your Cellular Data line

8. Your rova travel eSIM is now installed
