How can I install an eSIM on Apple devices via QR code?

NOTE: You need internet connectivity to install the eSIM

Installation steps

1. Scan the QR Code

  • Hard press the QR code and tap "Add eSIM" (works only in Safari on iOS)
  • Or scan the QR code with your camera
  • Find the QR code in your email or installation guide

2. Complete the Installation

  • Follow on-screen instructions
  • Select your personal SIM as your default line for calls and SMS Select your personal SIM for iMessages & FaceTime
  • Select your new eSIM as the source for "Mobile Data"
  • Tap "Update later" for the preferred line

3. Confirm Success

  • Check your "SIMs" list in "Mobile Service" ("Mobile Data" for iOS 16 and earlier)
  • The eSIM line should appear with the toggle turned "On"

4. eSIM installation successful

Your rova travel eSIM is now installed on your iOS device.

NOTE: Complete these steps once you arrive at your destination

Activation steps

1. Enable Data Roaming

  • Tap your newly added rova travel eSIM pack in "Mobile Service"
  • Turn on "Data Roaming" using the toggle

2. Set eSIM as Preferred Data Pack

  • Go back to "Mobile Service" and then to "Mobile Data"
  • Select your newly installed eSIM pack as your internet data source
